While this project is far from my favorite that I’ve work on, I believe it is the project I’ve learned the most from. We were given the opportunity to refresh the Addax brand (adjust basically everything except the logo) then carry its new look and messaging to an updated website.
The things I’m stoked about on this project: The brand evokes that ‘just have fun with your friends outdoors’ vibe exactly how we intended, we created a sweet 3D trailer customizer, and I learned ssssssso much about Figma variables, components, and prototyping that previous I’d only dipped my toe into.
As I mentioned above, I learned a ton about Figma and feel incredibly comfortable in the program. The website, unfortunately, didn’t turn out exactly how we designed it due in part by both parties involved. The final product look pretty good and functions well, but not all the features and aspects we designed made it into the website. Even within the 3D trailer customizer, we had to reduce quality for speed so ensure it functioned properly. I learned a ton about scope creep and compromising with the client through this project. Plus, every website I’ve worked on since has turned out better than the last, each with their own set of struggles.
I also created many of their email flows and ads.
